Third Street Music School Settlement

Chamber music is said to be the "music of friends." It spans eras, genres, and instrumentation and asks each instrument to have its own voice in a musical conversation. Third Street's 10-week and 32-week Adult Chamber Music programs allow instrumentalists to play "the music of friends" in the intimacy of small group settings. Each group is matched by skill level, is led by an experienced Third Street coach in weekly sessions and has the option of performing at our Adult Performance Workshop or seasonal concerts. Pre-formed groups are welcome to join!

Third Street Music Settlement has been transforming lives with music and dance for over 125 years! As the nation's longest-running community music school, Third Street provides music and dance instruction to more than 5,000 students each year. Founded in 1894 by Emilie Wagner with the mission to provide world-class quality arts education to immigrants in the Lower East Side during the Settlement Movement, Third Street has become a place for everyone to achieve their dream or begin a new one!
