Join cellist Ben Pfeifer on Sunday, November 19 for a special participatory chamber music Play-In event in Brooklyn as a benefit for ACMP!
ACMP Brooklyn Bonanza
Sunday, November 19 from 11am to 7pm (doors open at 10:30am)
With special guest speaker Bruce Adolphe!
Bring your instruments, a stand and some sets of classical chamber music parts, and we will play and listen to music all day in celebration and support of ACMP’s mission of chamber music for pleasure. We will organize a round-robin style Play-In with alternating chamber groups in two different rooms in Ben Pfeifer’s gorgeous home in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Players should be prepared to sightread standard classical chamber music repertoire.
We encourage you to stay for the whole day, but you can also RSVP for just the morning (11am to 2pm) or afternoon session (3pm to 6pm). Free-flowing food and drinks will be available throughout the day.
Bruce Adolphe’s talk will happen at 2pm, right between the two – you will not want to miss this!
SUGGESTED MINIMUM DONATION: $50
If you plan to play, please RSVP by the end of the day on November 5, letting us know your instrument and playing level and what time you are planning on attending.
If you prefer just to listen, that’s ok too! Just reserve through Eventbrite in that case.
The address and further details about the Play-In will be provided a week before the event.
We hope you can make it – let’s support ACMP while building a local Brooklyn chamber music community!
