Dialogue in music: a chamber music play-in

About the Workshop

Join us in an afternoon exploring and playing movements from two wonderful pieces of chamber music literature. We will be meeting in the lovely and welcoming space of Opera America, 330 7th Ave., NYC (7th floor). The date is Sunday, December 21,2025, from 1-4 PM. Space is limited. We welcome string players and a few pianists. Signing up early is necessary to reserve a spot. Contact Janet Hoffman for more info and application.
Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck and Heawon Kim will lead us in this event. They are both extraordinary coaches and professional musicians who look forward to working with you on the Dumka movement of the Dvorak Piano Quintet in A Major (opus 81) and two movements of the Mozart Piano Quintet KV 452, originally scored for piano and winds. Dale has even transcribed some easier parts of the Mozart quintet, should you prefer. All parts will be sent to you upon receipt of your completed application and workshop fee of $75.00. Application deadline is December 1, 2025.
