About the Workshop

Explore the character, style, ornamentation and bowings associated with one of the suites from this early Baroque piece of music: “Le Journal du Printemps” by J.C.F.Fischer, who was an early German baroque composer and court musician. Learn how to apply these techniques while playing these works on your modern instruments. We welcome string players, recorder players, and viol players who have some chamber music experience. This workshop will help develop and enhance your skills and abilities to play the repertoire of this era. The pitch will be A=440. Date: Saturday 3/4/2023 from 11:00-4:00 PM

Our excellent coaches are Lisa Terry(viol player) and Dale Stuckenbruck (violin)  who will lead us all in this exciting event. Repertoire will be sent to all participants before the event date. Fee for the workshop is $125  Application deadline is 2/6/23
