About the Workshop
In 2020, the workshop tranditionally held in Ischia will take place in Sorrento, a small town wonderfully located over white steep cliffs, offering a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. The town sits on a Tufa terrace along the Coast of the beautiful Sorrentine Peninsula and is enclosed by impressive rocks of the limestone mountains. Visitors from all over the world are attracted to Sorrento’s breathtaking sunsets and fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Its main attractions, beside its wonderful location, are the little historic centre with many boutiques and souvenirs shops, the panoramic Park Villa Comunale and the picturesque fishing port Marina Grande.
We will be staying and playing at “La Culla” Hotel, a magnificent XVIII century building overlooking the sea.
“La Culla” is run by Catholic Oblate nuns.
The workshop will start on Saturday May 2 at 9:30am. Our opening party will be on Friday May the 1st with a great dinner at “La Culla” Hotel at 7:00 pm. On Wednesday, May 6th, we’ll take a tour of Pompeii in English, French and Italian, led by our professional tourist guide, and Workshop participant, Lisa Norall.
