About the Workshop

A concentrated and non-competitive string chamber music program on a beautiful campus, only one mile from the scenic north shore of New Jersey. Individuals and pre-formed groups are welcome to apply, from advanced beginner level to highly experienced. Groups are formed and repertoire is assigned in advance. The heart of the workshop is the expert coaching and the demonstration/discussion sessions by the Simon String Quartet. Informal pick-up groups and optional large ensemble playing take place in the evenings. Faculty and participant concerts are held in historic and elegant Wilson Auditorium.
