This summer, New Horizons Music International is introducing two chamber music camps for intermediate and advanced players ages 50 and above. The New Horizons chamber music camps are supported by the ACMP Foundation for the first time this year and mark the beginning of what we hope will be an ongoing relationship. ACMP is thrilled to be affiliated with an organization that makes music accessible to players ages 50+ at all levels.
The first New Horizons Chamber Music Camp will be hosted by the Cumberland Valley School of Music in Chambersburg, PA, June 18 – 20, 2018. Brass, string, or woodwind ensembles of three to six players can register as a group OR individuals can register and players will be placed in appropriate groups. Experienced professional musicians will coach each ensemble for three 90-minute sessions. Ensemble music will be provided by the coaches.
Registration is $20; the registration deadline was June 1, 2018 but if you’re interested in registering, contact heather@cvsmusic.org or kencarper1@gmail.com.
The second camp will take place in August in Rochester New York, hosted by the Eastman Community Music School. For details about this workshop contact Ken Carper, kencarper1@gmail.com
