qathet Symphony Orchestra

Amateur community orchestra for the qathet Regional District (including the City of Powell River) in B.C., Canada. We bring together youth and adults at various levels of musical development to perform classical repertoire to regional audiences.
• We are a community-supported amateur symphony orchestra who enjoy the love and challenge of playing classical repertoire.
• We are open to members 10 years and older.
• We support the educational foundations of music study in our schools and community.
• We choose repertoire suitable for the members of the orchestra and appealing to our audience.
• We support the skills development of our member musicians.
• We are funded through member tuition, grants, concerts, donations and corporate fundraising.
