ACMP’s first online master class with the Kronos Quartet on Saturday, November 12, 2022 was a success!
Congratulations to the three groups from Idaho State University, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and SUNY New Paltz who performed so beautifully and thank you to Kronos cellist Sunny Yang and founder/first violinist David Harrington for their phenomenal coaching. Sunny and David offered such wonderful insights on three pieces from the Kronos Quartet 50 for the Future library by Missy Mazzoli, Ken Benshoof and Charlton Singleton.

If you are inspired to play for the Kronos Quartet, it’s not too late to sign up for the next online master class on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2pm Eastern on Zoom.
The first step is for you and your group to browse the 50 for the Future Online Library and choose a piece. You can choose any of the pieces except for the three pieces that were already played on November 12 and Angelique Kidjo’s piece, which has already been claimed by a group that has already signed up for the April class.
That leaves about 46 choices. If you are looking for something on the easy-to-medium difficulty end of the spectrum, members of KPAA’s educational team compiled this:
