ACMP welcomed 24 Board and Outreach Council members to a two-day retreat at Stony Point Center in New York State in September 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to engage and inspire Outreach Council members and newer board members, explore ways we can be stronger ambassadors for ACMP, and gather new ideas and connections. Some delegates from further affield joined us electronically via video conference.
The weekend included breakout sessions, presentations, and Board meetings, and gave everyone a chance to get acquanted with some new initiatives and get “on message” with what ACMP is about in the 21st century.
Each day concluded with many hours of playing. Repertoire included everything from Schubert’s Mass in G – with some brave volunteers singing the choral parts – to numerous trios, quartets, and even some octets.
