The 2019 ACMP Worldwide Chamber Music Workshop Guide is here! The print version will arrive in mail boxes in January — until then, check out the full guide here and choose your 2019 workshop experience. More than 220 workshops are listed, ranging from musical holidays for beginners to workshop intensives for advanced players. Workshops are available for strings, winds, pianos and vocals — individuals and pre-formed ensembles. There’s something for everyone! Many workshops have application deadlines way in advance of the workshop so now is a great time to take a first look.

The Daraja Music Initiative: 15 years of Music and Conservation in Tanzania
Since 2017, ACMP member clarinetist and nonprofit leader Alexys Bush has traveled to Tanzania, Africa where she teaches general music and clarinet for the Daraja Music Initiative (DMI), for whom she serves as Assistant Director. DMI bridges music education and the conservation of Tanzania's national tree - the African Blackwood, also known as ebony - used to make clarinets, oboes, piccolos, and some string fingerboards.
