The Telegraph Quartet was formed in 2013 and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Its members include Joseph Maile and Eric Chin (violins), Pei-Ling Lin (viola) and Jeremiah Shaw (cello).  The quartet’s early successes include winning the Grand Prize at the 2014 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition and the 2016 Walter Naumburg Chamber Music Award.  Release of their first album, Into the Light, in 2018 was met with universal praise, including this comment by the San Francisco Chronicle, “Just five years after forming, the Bay Area’s Telegraph Quartet has established itself as an ensemble of serious depth and versatility, and the group’s terrific debut recording only serves to reinforce that judgement.”  The Quartet has an equal passion for the standard repertoire and contemporary works alike and has performed on national and international stages.  In addition, the Telegraph Quartet has been involved in coaching numerous chamber music festivals in the United States.  More information about the quartet can be found at their website: http://www.telegraphquartet.com/

The SoCal Chamber Music Workshop, a one-week adult chamber music workshop, takes place every July in Claremont, California.  The Workshop has been delighted to host the Telegraph Quartet as its quartet in residence for the 2018 and 2019 workshops and looks forward to their return for the 2021 workshop.  More information about the SoCal Workshop can be found here: https://www.socalchambermusic.com/

We look forward to sharing this beautiful concert with you on May 2.  Please stay tuned for a second concert featuring the Hausmann Quartet on May 15 at 4:30pm PST.  More details to follow!
