The ACMP Worldwide Play-In Weekend:

Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21

A “Play-In” is defined as an event where musicians meet, often for the first time, and read chamber music for pure pleasure. Organizers can structure Play-ins in many creative ways, in groups small and large and in many different settings.

If you are looking to attend a Play-In, simply check the ACMP Events and Workshops Directory and filter it by event type “Play-In.”

So far there are ten ACMP-supported public Play-Ins during the Worldwide Play-In weekend.

Many ACMP chamber music enthusiasts like to celebrate the Worldwide Play-In Weekend by holding smaller private Play-Ins among friends. If you do that, please share your stories and photos!

New this year: you can ask ACMP to help support your private Play-Ins, house concerts or chamber music parties that are fundraisers for ACMP. Please email me at sgriffin@acmp.net if you are interested. From its origins, with Helen Rice and her letter writing campaign, ACMP has always been a grass-roots organization. Donations of any amount are welcome, and even if you don’t raise all that much money, intimate gatherings in support of ACMP build membership and raise awareness of our mission.
